Just last week, my dear childhood friend called me and asked if I’d be interested in forming a film studio with him and his wife. Joy filled my heart, and adrenaline started to pump through my veins at the prospect of this idea; this friend has an exceptional artistic talent for videography, photography, storytelling, etc., and I know it could lead to some great things.
We are both very different people, with my goals in life revolving around networking, salesmanship, management, and leadership skills. These differences lead to a union in which I can rest my complete faith. Visual artistry is not a skill that I have ever possessed or desired to pursue. I have seen my friend’s work, I have passion and belief in his ability to create amazing things, and he wants me to help market his pure talent; this is something I can get behind. My mind racing with ideas of marketing and what we can do to bring his talent to this world and make it marketable took me a second to slow down and realize the tiny steps we need to take. I plan to make this blog an exposition of what I’ve been going through, lessons I’ve learned along the way, and grow others in their future as entrepreneurs.
I have not made it in this world yet as an entrepreneur, but having this written down and captured will hopefully help others follow in a path of success if I ever retain that. I know the road ahead will be hard, and I will make many mistakes, but having this to capture those mistakes and lessons will be an excellent record for me to reminisce on later.
So please join me as I not only record my lessons but also as I hone my skills as a writer.
